 RTCM's Annual Update meeting will be held virtually on Wednesday, 29 September 2021 and all GMDSS Task Force members are welcome to join.

 The U.S. Coast Guard's GMDSS Task Force addresses current issues in maritime radio communications and related navigation system subjects. 

 When joining the conference, please enter your first and last name when prompted to help us properly capture the list of participants.  

You may connect to the Microsoft Teams conference using any of the following: 

  •    Web application - Recommended Method - (requires a relatively small download)
  •    MS Teams Desktop (requires your computer to have the proper license)  
  •    Web-browser (Chrome or MS Edge. May have limitations with screen sharing.) 
  •    Mobile phone or tablet with Teams App.

For most participants, after you select the meeting link at the top of the agenda, you will be prompted to join using either the web application or the web browser. After making the selection, please enter your first and last name. Then, using the control bar in Teams:

  1.  Turn your video camera as you prefer on/off, 
  2.  Mute/unmute your microphone, and
  3.  Press the "Join now" button on the next screen. You will not be connected to the meeting until you press "Join now". 

Note: If you join the conference before the convener, you will see a status that says: "Someone in the meeting should let you in soon". If you are not let in before the designated conference start time, close the window and try the link again.  Participants may contact RTCM at [email protected] or at (703) 527-2000 for issues or assistance joining Teams.
